The Next Level...Tournaments Day 2

Day 1 is over and now you have to assess your situation.  Follow the clues!  What happened on day 1 and what did the weather do overnight?  Did a prevailing wind blow and move warm water and bait from one side of the lake to the other?  Did it rain all night and change the surface temps by a few degrees?  Did the water levels in a reservoir system raise or lower over night?  All of these questions need to be asked along with evaluating your success on day 1 and the likely hood of your spot and bite holding up for two days.  Tournaments Day 2...Nothing like it!

Conservation vs. Meat on the table.  It's your right to keep fish, but it seems to spark fierce reactions from some.  Is it healthy for the fishery?  Can a fishery become more healthy with fish being kept.  As long as your operating within the law keeping fish can be very healthy.  In this weeks podcast we discuss the different aspects of catch and release to promote a healthy conversation about.... conservation.

Let the debate begin!  Custom painted baits vs. Stock out of the package beauties.  There is a definite art form to painting custom baits and some look like fish catching machines, but the question and the debate comes down to...do custom baits catch more fish?  I know they catch more fisherman.  Are they worth the extra money?  We discuss our thoughts on custom baits and what we think is overkill and what seems to be the perfect extra touch.
