Box or CPVR?

The debate rages.  Is it better to box and weigh fish or is it better to do catch, photo and release fish.  The tournament fishing world is split and it mostly goes along species lines.  The Bass guys try and squeeze out every ounce while the Walleye guys don't mind the length to weight conversion.  Off Shore tournament guys need to weigh in on the topic.  Change is coming and how that looks it up for debate.

Fall Heavy Metal

For all you fans of Heavy Metal...this is your time of year!  No I am not talking about Metalica.   I am referring to the spoon bite.  This is where glide baits may not be the best presentation.  Heavy spoons jolting off the bottom and quickly fluttering back to the bottom can be an amazing way to slay fall walleye!

Fall Transition

It's that time of year when the water temps begin to cool and the fish are getting REALLY hungry.  The water temps are in the 50's and the fish are holding onto that summer pattern.  Fish are being caught using jigs and bait and they are still fairly scattered on flats.  But WAIT...any day now those fish are going to start finding their friends on sharp breaks and deeper structure and they will start eating everything in sight.  The fall bite is just around the corner!
